if you liked "ignorance"

there is a reason people mention that the first three songs on this bonus ep, originally available only at best buy stores packaged with "ignorance is bliss," sound like songs that should have gone on the record. the songs were recorded for "ignorance" but didn't make final cuts, and this ep picked up the slack. personally, i think that the first three songs sound more like classic face to face than "ignorance" did, and that's probably why they didn't make it onto the album, since it was meant to be a departure from the established sound of the band. the acoustic version of "everyone hates a know-it-all" is the first time a lot of punk kids should have heard dashboard confessional-style acoustic/pop/punk/emo, but didn't because they heard that this face to face album sucked. those kids were wrong. ignorance is bliss is a great album, and this is a nice tidbit for serious face to face fans. if i find the sucker who stole my actual copy (that i had to have a friend in california buy for me, since there were no best buys near my college in salem OR), he's gonna pay.

Good little bonus EP

Back in 1999, this EP was originally packaged in retail outlets with the 'Ignorance is Bliss' album as a bonus disc, 'So why aren't you happy?' being a play on the main album's title. While the first three tracks work together on their own, they feel like an extension of the 'Ignorance...' album that somehow didn't make it onto that disc. It's the acoustic version of 'Everyone Hates a Know-It-All' where this EP truly shines.

Great CD

I have to agree. I started listening to Face to Face when Don't Turn Away came out. It was a great album. Ignorance Is Bliss was their best album and the Bonus Disc, "So Why Aren't You Happy?" was a great addition to the CD. Everyone who is a Face To Face fan should have this album.
