Real Techno

Unlike one of his bands, Freezepop, Kasson Crooker delivers a real sense of Techno. He also does a great job playing synthpop for Freezepop, then Techno for Symbion. What a dedicated man Kasson is! Great music!

Best of his albums

I think Symbion Project's "Immortal Game" is best album I especially like the jazzy feel of the song "Lithe and Tawny" The base is a nice R&B feel to the electronic music. I like this album a lot.

A bit of a mixed bag, but I like it!

I've never been a big fan of techno, so judging this album based on that point alone would be unfair. I will say, though, that while half of the album was not something I'd listen to ever again, the other half more than made up for it. This album does explore a broad range of musical styles and emotions. Although it could be called a techno album, the tracks that really stood out for me could be called anything BUT techno. My personal recommendations would be "Our Breath Shall Intermix" and "Lacrymosa," the latter of which was both a oddly unique departure from the album, and something I really enjoyed in the end.

I think this is one of those albums where at least ONE track will appeal to most people out there. Personal bias aside, I'd recommend this, at least for a sample to those wanting something different. So, 5 stars for this one.
