Customer Reviews

This is the best Transcendence album so far! It is raw and edgy and totally indie but it is so gorgeous and lush. Transcendence create some of the edgiest and unique music out there right now in the indie-band world. They really shouldn't be classified as indie-rock at all, because their music transcends the genre, pardon the pun. :) Favorite tracks are DJ, Softening, All this is beginning...

Way better than previous album

Okay, these guys really cranked it up a notch. Killer jams on this one. They abandoned the whole fancy studios and recorded the album in a home studio. The sound and energy are raw. This album crystallized the essence of the band as a really powerful unit.

This is Ed Hale and the Transcendence at thier finest moment. From beginning to end this is just the BOMB. Wayne Coyne of Flaming Lips said this was his favorite album of 2004 in an interview and I can hear why. Whatever the band was doing... they are on FIRE. So passionate. So sexual. So MUSICAL. thinking... feeling.... It's glam rock, power pop, progressive, indie rock. In a way it's all over the place and yet it's SO coheisve and captures a moment that is so pure. The guitar playing is amAZEing. So are the vocals. SEXY.
