A sick recording

A very good album, in fact one the best hip-hop albums I've listened to since first hearing the gray album. These songs are filled with apathetic undertones characteristic of the overall sentiment of the modern era. The beats are innovative and deeply moving, while still holding true to their hip-hop roots. And as with the beats, the lyrics are original, politically motivated yet they avoid becoming "preachy." This album is a work of art, something that I recommend to anybody with a desire to hear something different coming out of the underground hip-hop scene.

I love this music. Its very revealing of the direction many underground hip hop artists are going now and days. I'm listening to it for the first time as I type and can not get over how melodically raw this album is. If you're a fan of Sole, this is a must buy. If it's your first time hearing Sole, this might be the best album to start off with.. however, maybe not for those who are only feelin boom bop or crunk.

The Sole of the underground

In 1996, with his group Live Poets, Sole released What's It All About, which brought him into contact with like-minded rappers (and future Anticon members) Doseone...
