EDITORS’ NOTES

Looking for a high-energy crash course on the New York trio that bridged rap to rock like no one before? Solid Gold Hits is a digitally remastered tour of the Beasties’ brashest anthems. It’s jammed with instant party-starters, from the funky breaks and robot rhymes of “Intergalactic” to the shout-along monster “Fight for Your Right,” driven by Rick Rubin’s signature guitar skronk. The trio’s unparalleled bar-trading chemistry is further showcased on the raw, minimal “Pass the Mic,” and their sincerity shines on post-9/11 tribute “An Open Letter to NYC.”

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

It would be 5 star but.......

It would be a five star but it forgot to put Paul Revere on the album. It is one of the most simplest beat of all time in rap history.

A solid greatest hits album. This one strikes pure gold into the biggest hits of the Beastie Boys discrography. There were tracks on here that I didn't know existed in their catalogue before such as "Triple Trouble" which is a great jam. This album re-introduced me to the BB's and I'm happy because of that.
