BOOM!

Wolfman!

Great Live Sound From a Great Band! Buy It!

I've been waiting a long time for Barefoot Truth to come out with a live album, and at long last, it's finally here! The concert, performed at Higher Ground, Vermont, has a really high quality sound, and captures the energy of the band without sounding like a bootleg. The setlist is awesome as well, with a groove-setting opener of Reeln' (listen for the didgeridoo in the first few minutes of the song, a nice little touch and gets the crowds attention), then on to three new songs (OK, Threads, Roots of Stone) from the Threads album released last Febuary. The additions of an electric guitar and a guest player on drums for Solitude, usually performed live with Will Evans ditching the drums for an acoustic and no drums, works very well, and the drum solo and extended jam on Roll If Ya Fall definitly makes the whole concert (if you're only gonna buy one song from this album, buy Roll If Ya Fall, just awesome). The boys do a real nice job on Believe, but ending the concert with my two favorites, the poetic acoustic Easy Come High, and the feel-good song of the year, Mama's Minstrel, takes the cake. The addition of keyboards and organ grooves on the songs, not really heard in a lot of their studio work, are perfect; great job John Wayno, and the harmonica gets captured beautifully. Having just bought this a little over an hour before writing this, there's probably a lot of things I'm missing, but I just wnted to give the boys a job well done on this. If you're into Dispatch, John Butler Trio, Sublime, Dave Matthews Band, State Radio, and/or O.A.R., you will definitly love this stuff. Buy it and support a great band!

Another Work of Art!

I love seeing Barefoot Truth live in concert, where they have such a different feel and energy, and now I can listen to that sound and energy over and over again. This is a great addition to their already amazing collection.
