Like Hillydog...

I grew up in upstate NY as well (Syracuse to be exact) and seeing "the Cult" was nothing short of a concert event - the light show was later outlawed due to concerns about optic nerve damage and the "festival seating" was done away with after the infamous Who concert in Cinncinnati, but this album harkens back to the easier, rawer and more exciting days of rock. The only thing that would make it more complete is "more cowbell." ;-)


growing up in upstate ny watching theses 5ft 6 rock gods with a laser light show was the ultimate now remastered on itunes with hot rails is amazing stuff

the blue oyster cult's music is awesome. im 15. my mom says people think its weird that i like them. hehe. i wish i coulve seen them in concert...*Sigh* -_-

Blue Öyster Cult was the thinking man's heavy metal group. Put together on a college campus by a couple of rock critics, it maintained a close relationship with a series of literary figures (often in the fields of science fiction and horror), including Eric Von Lustbader, Patti Smith, Michael Moorcock, and Stephen King, while turning out some of the more listenable metal music of the early and mid-'70s.
