MORE K-TEL RE-RECORDINGS

I like Jay & the Americans as much as the next guy, but why rave about these redone re-recordings when the original versions sound even better and are also available on iTunes?!? Check out the CD "Come a Little Bit Closer" and judge for yourself. At least THAT cd could afford a cover photo of the group!

I hate this....

iTunes, please, for the love of music and our sense of pitch and tone, don't market these re-recorded, half hearted versions of the hits we all love. Please.

The Best Of jay Black - Jay and the Americans

Great album with some of his best hits. Jay Black has an extraordinary voice and it is fun to hear him use in on these oldies. I first heard Jay on a PBS Doo Woop show and fell in love. I highly recommend it. Listen to the sample of Cara Mia to hear the vocal range.
