I stumbled upon this singer at Bumbershoot, the live music festival in Seattle. Because she was a local artist, I decided to listen to a few songs and was blown away. She has one of the most amazing country voices I have ever heard and having her soothing country twang backed by acoustic guitars and a little rhythm is pure joy. I could not believe that she had no other reviews on her music, so I felt that i had to write this one. She is going to be the next big country singer, if this world actually cared about quality lyrics. Sadly, many of us indie band fans know all too well that the majority of americans despise music with depth when compared to corporate sellouts. I still have hopes though. Her voice is truly incredible on these tracks, and the lack of overpowering instumentation makes it even more dreamy. Some of the best country I've ever come across. if you don't want the whole album, try Best I Can, Roll Me On, and Lowdownville. Those three are the best tracks (catchy melodies) :]

I must agree with the majority of what summer Storm had to say. I also stumbled upon Kristen at Bumbershoot. Kristen's powerhouse vocals are a breath of fresh air. I must say though Little Gun, Dark Night of the Soul and 1974 would have to be my top three picks. Make sure you also check out her second album Drive Away. Coming up in April will be the new album Charle's.
