But despite the storied surroundings, Connolly didn’t tone down his raw, riotous club act one bit. From the merciless mocking of his own culture to his gut-busting tales of bodily functions, he was, if anything, even more uncompromising and as outrageously uproarious as ever. The resourceful funnyman even proves that folk music can be funny with bits like “Learning the Banjo.”
