Customer Reviews

After listening to a number of Color Theory's other albums, I was sure that Brian had done it all.

But this album proved me wrong!

I was VERY happy to hear something DIFFERENT here. I love his music, and this album showed an entirely different range of music than on his previous albums.
"Never Realized" and "Once Upon A Time" are both beautiful songs, and a departure from Brian's normal feel / sound. Fantastic work.

An incredible start

I think this is the first Color Theory album. Like the other reviewer, I came to this later in my Color Theory explorations. But it's *good*. I really like this one. Never Realized is good it just hooks you and you want to sing it all day. This is one of those albums that I like to sit back and just do nothing but listen track-by-track.

The Beautiful Beginning

I first discovered Color Theory when this album was recently released. I bought the CD on a whim after hearing a single song off a compilation of mostly unknown artists. I wish I could remember which song it was now, but it clearly stood out from the rest of the compilation. So I nervously awaited the point when my new CD would arrive.

It didn't disappoint. I listened to Sketches In Grey over and over again. It had the raw emotional feeling that I loved about Depeche Mode and Tori Amos, but was somehow more approachable. If you only have 15 seconds right now, listen to a sample of 'Snowing' and you'll see what I mean.

I've continued to listen to Color Theory ever since this time. Later, he's developed a very distinct style... his own blend of piano and electronic music. This album isn't as polished, but you're going to love it anyway. Do yourself a favor and buy it. You can thank me later.
