Farsot - Insects

hmmmm, very interesting sound. for years scandinavia has been in the front making black metal, but it seems germanys Farsot is making waves right now.
its not symphonic, and over dramatic, but a unique blend of atmospheric and progressive that blends good with the riffs. keep an open mind.. if you are looking for straight ahead black metal, or symphonic bloated black metal.. this isnt for you

Great follow up album

While it's not as Black Metal focused as its predecessor, Insects easily stands on its own. The musicianship is simply stunning, and Farsot have proven that they're more than just a flash-in-the-pan Black Metal outfit. Hey, not all Black Metal has to be: fastfastfastfastfastfast-----screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech! Besides, how can you go wrong for $8?

To call German black metal band Farsot "cryptic" would be putting it mildly. As with many bands in that particular genre — some of whom wear corpse paint or go by weird names, fake titles, etc., Farsot eschewed the idea of going by their birth names, but — taking it one step further, admittedly — took on individual names such as: 10.XlXt (vocals), 3818.w (guitars), Pi: 1T 5r (guitars), v.03/170 (bass), and R 215k (drums).
