Life Changing!!

A landmark fusion/guitar album, sadly often overlooked and under-appreciated.

Martino created a compelling set of pieces for this album that have been welcome visitations in my head for 30+ years now. There is something undeniably spiritual about the energy of these songs. I hope a new generation of guitarists and jazz listeners will get past the time warp & check this one out.

One of the most original of the jazz-based guitarists to emerge in the 1960s, Pat Martino made a remarkable comeback after brain surgery in 1980 to correct an aneurysm caused him to lose his memory and completely forget how to play.
