way over yonder in a minor key

I s probably the most favorite song i have , Joel Rafaels redition of this song is dead on in making it the most listenable of any ones attempt at singing this song that brings it alive as Joel Rafael .

Songs of Woody Guthie

"Don't Kill My Baby and My Son" Don't sing Woody Guthie toons unless you research the material. Mr. Looney in this song is mispronounced by the singer. It ruins the song for me. Folk singers are folk singers for a reason, why wouldn't you at least learn the pronounciation before you put on your pretender regalia.

Inspired by the folk music boom of the early '60s, singer/songwriter Joel Rafael bought a guitar in his teens and began writing songs in the style of Woody Guthrie, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and Bob Dylan. Born in Chicago but raised in the San Gabriel Valley outside of Los Angeles, Rafael became active in the folk scene of Los Angeles before heading north to the Pacific Northwest in the late '60s. He would eventually return to California, where he settled down in North San Diego County to raise a family....
