Heavy Afro-Funk

By far, one of the most far-reaching funk albumns. Deeply layered but always comes back to the groove. What most jazz/funk fusion was supposed to be.

Awesome Album

This album is a classic, it should of went platinum a million times over, buy the songs here off i-tunes, the only other way to hear it is if you find it on vinyl.

Nigerian-born drummer Michael Babatunde Olatunji grew to international fame beginning in the late '50s with his groundbreaking 1959 Capitol Records debut Drums of Passion. The album was a huge hit, remaining in print for decades and standing as one of the first examples of the American record-buying public taking an interest in international music.
