Customer Reviews

If your looking for some calm relaxing music, You've found it here. One acoustic guitar and one voice and some wonderful music. Love vanilla sky and open arms!!

Santana, Dylan and Nick Drake have a love child

Folk, psychedelic rock and a touch of blues makes each song respective in its own right. Reveries can take you on an equally aggressive yet uncompromisingly comfortable journey. It's as if someone grabbed your wrist and, with the utmost anger, said "RELAX". Its also surprisingly mature for a debut.

You can definitely tell in his restraint. He doesn't force notes or pick the strings too much in spaces where he could easily lose control. Ecstasy and Space Rock are examples of that.

This kid definitely has something. The only thing that keeps this album from being perfect is his voice. You can tell he's singing from his throat. Some voice lessons could clear that up and make his sophomore followup a more dynamic experience. Adding a refined voice would give him more of a 3dimensional range.

You can also tell he does his homework but does a great job of not re-creating music we've grown fond of, like the artists in the title. In the end, this not only goes in my rotation, but I want to buy a hard disc so I can have in my collection so when I have people over they can see how cool I am(lol). This is one of those albums that ten albums from now, hardcore fans will throw in the faces of noobs who think they've been following Jon Grammer since the beginning.

Dope Album, keep em coming
