iTunes Review

Coldplay’s third album embraces their destiny to become the world’s biggest band. It is the emotive, melodic rock of their previous records writ stadium-size. Wracked with Chris Martin’s self-doubt, “Speed of Sound” and “Square One” are precision engineered to peak, dip, rush, and resolve with maximum visceral impact. There are hints of the left turns and electronica that would come with later albums–“Talk” borrows from Kraftwerk–but Coldplay 3.0 is a persuasive case for refinement over re-invention.

Deleting Reviews

I don't know why iTunes insists on deleting reviews off of albums. It makes this look like an obscure indie record. Nevertheless, this is an excellent album by Coldplay, with songs such as Till Kingdom Come, Fix You, Speed of Sound, Talk, and The Hardest Part ranking as some their best songs ever.

Incredible album

Why does iTunes delete the ratings for these albums? Ratings help catch people's attention and a rating of "32" people looks as if this album wasn't popular and looks like it isn't the genius album it is!

Biography

Formed: 1998 in London, England

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

The group's emergence was perfectly timed; Radiohead had just released the overly cerebral Kid A, while Oasis had ditched two founding members and embraced psychedelic experimentation on Standing on the Shoulder of Giants....
