Amazing

After Thomas released Illusions i was waiting for Nick's own personal album and he does not dissapoint.

The Counter Balance

As a contributing partner to Two Steps From Hell it is fun to listen to and understand how Nick counter balances Thomas Bergersen. This album is more "music bed" in nature where you basically have one feeling or mood per piece....collectively high energy. This a completely different composing style. In that regard Nick does well. Nick is very well known for his East West software contributions that allows budding composers to access an incredible collection of real instruments. If fans were disappointed in not hearing more of Thomas' music listen deeper and you will hear why Nick and Thomas' collaboration is so special...an artistic balancing act. Honestly there are many lessons Nick shows here not about music but using layers and tectures to create soundscapes. Fascinating and great for exercising.

Let Down

After hearing Thomas Bergersen's Music I was expecting much more from someone who worked with him. Similar to another review written here, all of the songs on this album are flat. They never build up into a climax and then "release," like many of Thomas Bergersen's songs do. I am looking foward to Thomas's next album, especially after this disappointment.
