Black Metal

Dimmu's very last good album. Very melodic and symphonic Black Metal. Also Simen Hestæs gives this album a nice operatic sound in a couple of songs wich improves it greatly, Reptile is a good example.

one of the last good albums

This was probibly the last good Dimmu album, its funny that no ever talks about this one. I honestly think its a very good album, perhaps not the best album, but its good enough to merit special attention. The last track "Arcane Lifeforce Mysteria" I think is the best song, its got such a dark sound to it, plus its classic Dimmu. Unfortunealy this is the last album with the original line up (exception keyboardist) It kinda has gone downhill for them since then.

Another Dimmu Classic!!!

This is the latest Dimmu album i bought and all i need now is For All Tid(Time). I have to say this is better than Stormblast. It has a slight underground black metal production sound which makes it sound like true black metal. This marks the debut of Dimmu's operatic singer and bass player, Vortex, and he's also in a few songs on here. Notable songs: Reptile, Dreamside Dominions, the Promised Future Aeons, the Blazing Monoliths of Defiance, the Insight and the Catharsis(album's best song), and Arcane Lifeforce Mysteria. Try and get the Deluxe Edition cause you'll get a bonus song called Masses For the New Messiah, which is really good, too.

The group first started in 1993, when members Shagrath (vocals), Erkekjetter Silenoz (guitar), and Tjodalv (guitar and drums) came together to join the emerging metal scene. Although some groups like Emperor and Mayhem had already been making noise for...
