Gorgeous, haunting, challenging

Look, I don't write a lot of music reviews. People like what they are going to like and nothing I say can change a person's musical taste. But ever so often I come across an artist by pure whim and I am blown away. I can't get enough. Cat Power did it to me, Eleni Mandell did it to me and now Torres has done it to me. I couldn’t wait for this album to come out. It’s subtle sometimes, powerful at others. The lyrics are thoughtful and compelling. I love it!
