Celtic Songs for the Whole Family

4.5 stars
A great collection of family friendly songs to enjoy year round and not just on St. Patrick's Day.
If it had been listed as St Pat's Songs for the Family I would have given it 5 Stars. My rationale is that some songs are too "childish" for Tweens and Teens (Irish Lilting, Red-haired Boy Lilting, Lord of the Pounce, and crunching Nuts), and some are not so preschooler-friendly (Sick Note [a little to somber], Mermaid Song, and The Leprechaun).
Overall though it is a good CD to pop in the car or to play whenever you want to feel Irish. It is also family friendly as there are no swear words ("bloody" is used in one song) and I can't recall any drinking being mentioned.
Vocals are clear and easy to understand.
I heard of this CD from Marc Gunn's Weekly Irish And Celtic Music Podcast.

This is a great album, especially for children, to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all year long.

Family favorite

My 6 year old daughter and I love this album. It's a great mix of familiar favorites along side not so often heard songs. It has year round appeal. Not just a collection of silly green milk songs. The original "Wherever I May Roam" is a happy upbeat song about the bonds of family that makes me cry Every. Single. Time.
