Certified Hotness

Quite possibly the best of these that I have heard in a while. Although, I just listened to the 2005 or 2006 Reggae Gold and it's not bad either. However, when I bought this I had just purchased the most recent Strictly the Bests (24 and 25, I believe). This is leaps and bounds above those. Bounty Killer starts it off right with Look. For those who have trouble understanding Caribbean accenets, listen to Look about 5 times straight and you'll have no more problems. BKs message comes through loud and clear. Capleton drops a jem as usual with Good in Her Clothes. Lexxus caight me off guard with cook but made me smile at the same time. I've been listening to this CD for 5 1/2 years now and truthfully, the tracks never get old. Everyone represents. I loved the roots stuff right the in the middle with classic artist such as Beres Hammond and Morgan Heritage. And then Buju and Gramps kill it with their rendition of Psalm 23. If they do it like that in JA, I may have to go down there and worship sometime. Last, the mix at the end with the Bam Bam riddim is pure gold. Sister Nancy, Tenor Saw, Buju, General Echo, and Candy Man in their classic forms over the classic riddim. Only down side is the Sanchez's cover of Brian McKnight's One. The music is good, I just think it kinda broke up the flow. Also not really feeling Lexxus' and Lady Saw's Call U. It's okay but if you had to skip two tracks, these would be them. Otherwise, play this jawn straight through. It came with a mix cd with all but the final mix on it. That's okay. I prefer the album though.
