Album Review

Lifehouse's follow-up album, Stanley Climbfall, stresses impact over subtlety. In lieu of 2002's skate-metal and earnest AOR grunge, Lifehouse are more at ease than most with Scott Weiland's swampmonster vocals and power-crunched guitar riffs. The band also knows how to dig a big chorus out of its thick dynamics when called for, a useful tactic reminiscent of Silverchair's first album and the big-gestured rock of Creed and John Cougar Mellencamp.

Customer Reviews

Good music, bad deal.

Don't get the entire album man. Get How Long and Sky is Falling acoustic, then get the regular version of this album instead of the limited edition. you get the same exact songs, only you save 99 cents, which you buy an entire song with.

Hesitant no More

When this album was originally realeased in stores I was already a HUGE fan of Lifehouse's and Wade's. I was very hesitant to buy this album because as I was previewing it in the store (FYE) it didn't really appeal to me. Now that I have grown and my tastes have evolved, I was looking through the recommended albums and came across this again. I decided to buy and and I am really glad that I did. Not only are the instrumentals great, but so are the vocals and the lyrics. Jason Wade is a truly talented person. Keep it rockin' guys!

Awesome

I have loved Lifehouse for a long time and this album is wonderful. Jason Wade has outdone himself in vocals and his lyrics. The band preforms in great harmony. I love this album!!

Wade, who originally tagged the band Blyss upon its inception in 1996, was raised by missionary parents in a variety of locales. He eventually settled in Los Angeles with his mother and took a keen interest in songwriting. Bassist Sergio Andrade lived next door, and the two spent hours in Wade's garage, fine-tuning their original compositions and laying...
