Amazing

The positive progression from Moonlover to this album is almost tangible. Moonlover is a work of art, but this album has more depth and atmosphere. Pretty stoked on this

Almost likable

The album starts of promising and the musicianship seems intriguing at first, but after the absolutely hilariously bad vocals kick in it becomes hard to take it seriously. The music itself becomes pretty cheesy too and sounds like they tried to mix pop music and black metal if that's possible.

About Ghost Bath

An American blackgaze/post-metal/hardcore group, Ghost Bath was established in 2012, and initially claimed that they were based out of Chongqing, China, as opposed to their hometown of Minot, North Dakota. Employing a lethal mix of black metal, shoegaze, and post-rock, the band's debut full-length album, Funeral, was issued in 2014 via Chinese label Pest Productions. 2015's well-received Moonlover saw the group make the move to German label Northern Silence Productions, and as their stature in the extreme metal community grew, it was revealed that the group's Chinese origin story was indeed a hoax. Frontman Dennis Mikula later explained that "We refused to correct people because we do not wish to put actual faces onto our music. It is our wish as a band to connect to all human beings." In 2017 the band released their third studio long-player, Starmourner, via Nuclear Blast. ~ James Christopher Monger
