A Polished Gem

On a road trip to Mexico years ago, I heard "Gone" from this Jim Chappell album while passing through Austin, Texas and had to get the album. It was a fitting introduction to Jim's music that I've enjoyed for many years. He got away from the solos for a while. For my taste, I clearly enjoy his solo piano. This is music for reflection, setting the mood for a great evening. Enjoy!

DUSK...

I discovered this CD (when it was on cassette) in a dusty old thrift store in Santa Fe NM. It quickly became my constant companion. It touched my soul, my spirit, my heart with its beauty. It was at home no matter where I was...on the dusty roads of Northern New Mexico, city streets of Albuquerque, New York, Detroit, or the beaches of Florida. I can't praise this music and Jim Chappell enough for bringing such musical to me pleasure year after year. This is timeless music. I know when I lay on the beach in Cancun later this year, this will be on my IPod.

Fan for many years

Jim's music speaks to me!! His music is definitely part of music library.
