Songs that stay in my head...

Really well crafted songs that have great melodies. This guy is young, but his metaphors and lyrical content are amazingly mature and "un-cliché." It's a terrific record, and one that has many songs fitted for being with someone you love or perhaps want to love.

Sharp writing with clever melodies

I thoroughly enjoy this record. I have seen Alex Nackman live several times and this release is just another example of how talented this New Yorker is. Straying far away from the norm of the industry, Nackman writes extremely well. His lyrics make sense, yet they are also not so obvious and mundane. The melodies that bring to life each song have character and I find myself humming them soon after. "A Boy" is a record well-suited for anyone into the McCartney, Buckley, Pete Yorn, or even Matt Pond PA vein. See Nackman live now before his tix are $35.

Great Album, Great Guy

This album of Alex's is sonically great. His songwiriting is crisp and well thought out. The melodies are purely his own. He sings from the heart on every track, and that is something that should be celebrated. I have had the pleasure and privlege of seeing Alex live, and hanging out with him. He's a really great guy, who works hard and is passionate about his music. The album is a must have from an up an coming artist.
