a great opening...

this album marks the first full-length from STA and it comes across as a pretty powerful first offering. in fact, if your not sold on the first song you should seriously consider going back to Neil Diamond. it's hard to pick a favorite from the first three tracks and you'll probably find yourself repeating 1 and 2 several times before you even move on to the rest of the album. these leadoff tracks give this album one of the most solid and enjoyable openings in the respective genre - any album where any of the first 5 or so tracks could easily be singles is no small achievment. another standout track is 9, extremely well put together with a bridge that will be hard to get outa your head. the album wraps up with a ballad that serves as a fitting close to a great album, especially amazing that its a first. for $8 you can't go wrong - it's great for summer with songs perfect for roadtrips, jumping off bridges (black?), ice cream, beaches and bonfires.

Great debut album from an up-and-coming band.

As far as debut albums go this one is one of the best. Definetly pick this up and check these albums out. Great summer album with plenty of summer anthems. "Count On Me" "Closer" "Picture Perfect" "If I Told You" and "Blame It All On Me" "Fight For" are great summer anthems. Keep an eye on these guys and tell all your friends about them now so you can seem really cool and hip when they make it big. Then you can tell all your friends that you liked them before anyone else and hate that they sold out. You're so scene.

Bangor, PA-based Sound the Alarm (originally named Sleepwell) got together in 2000 around singer Cody Jancovic, guitarist Brian Chiusano, bassist Colin Ellis, and drummer Rick Stephans. The emo-rock outfit initially just played cover songs around the tri-state area, but eventually switched over to writing originals, much to the quick embracement of local fans.
