Album Review

A romantic interlude of smooth soul numbers.

Customer Reviews

I first bought this album back in the 80's not knowing who Regina Belle was. I was driving my 1986 Ford Taurus and I popped the tape into the tape deck. I couldn't believe what I heard. Ms. Belle's vocals are so pure. She sings from the soul. When she sang "Make It Like It Was," I pulled the car over and I cried. As she sings, her voice dances among the notes of the music. I would highly recommend this album to those who aspire to become a singer. Her vocals alone will challenge you. This singer is the one to watch. Vintage Regina Belle! Her voice alone will remind you of vocal greats like Nancy Wilson, Phyllis Hyman and Angela Bofill. It's 2007. To be able to find this CD again has filled me with renewed joy! Brittany, Beyonce, take notes. American Idol wanna be's, there is something to learn from this wonderful singer. This is what true singing is all about. Ms. Belle, if you are reading this, I want to personally thank you for your vocal integrity. I sincerely look forward to hear some more of your God given talent sending a message that you still have the gift to move people in song. Thank you!

Belle sang in a New Jersey vocal group, and studied opera and jazz in college. New York disc jockey Vaughn Harper introduced her to the Manhattans, and she began...
