Customer Reviews

THIS is the White's album I have been waiting for!

This album is full of exciting uptempo songs, beautiful family harmony, and hot instumentals! You'll be humming the tunes in no time-- like the title track, "I've Changed the Lock", and "Who's Heart are You Breaking Tonight". It's a dynamic combination of the White's neo-traditional trademark style and contemporary country music. Released in 1996, yet the album is timeless. I only wish the musician credits were listed here as well because they are fantastic!!

For Samuel Guthrie below...

I totally agree with your review. For your info, the following are the musicians that play on this incredible release (I have the actual CD):

Mandolin: Ricky Skaggs, Buck White (yep, THAT Ricky Skaggs!)
Fiddle: Ricky Skaggs, "Hoot" Hester
Dobro: Jerry Douglas
Drums: Jerry Kroon
Bass Guitar: David Smith
Acoustic Guitar: Bobby All
Steel Guitar: Buddy Emmons (legendary steel guit player!)
Lead Guitar: Kelly back
Keyboards: Dirk Johnson, Buck White

Hope that helps.

If you haven't done so, check out all of the releases from The Whites, as well as their amazing cd with Ricky Skaggs, "Salt Of The Earth."

Buck White (vocals, piano, mandolin) and his daughters Sharon (vocals, guitar) and Cheryl (vocals, bass) officially comprised the group, but their roots dated back to Buck's first band in 1947. He went on to play bluegrass, honky tonk, and Western swing with a variety of bands in the '50s, most notably...
