EDITORS’ NOTES

The real gems here are a series of guest-laden album cuts—like “The Next Episode”—that find a veritable who’s who of Los Angeles rap royalty spitting fire over some of Dre’s sparest, fiercest beats. The Chronic 2001 is the equal of its illustrious predecessor in almost every respect; a hip-hop classic from one of the greatest producers to ever approach the boards.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Classic

If you don’t have this album you are lame. I don’t care if you don’t like rap music this is the sort of album that my punk friends, hipsters, rockers, electro heads and every breathing young soul person should have in their collection. This isn’t rap music this is music at its best.

Best Rap Album Ever

I listen to alot of rap and this is my favorite cd in my whole collection. If there Was a single cd id have to listen to for the rest of my life it i would pick this one. This is the illest beats Dr. Dre has ever and probaly will ever make. And he raps like he should. As the king of the west coast.
