One of my all-time faves

"Black Velvet" is an all-time classic, but there are several more great songs: "Just One Kiss" is a song I repeat at least twice before I move on in my list; it's great for faantasizing about a certain someone..."Who Loves You" sounds like something out of Heart's catalog (although I always think it's too short and there should be another chorus after the stop-cold ending). and "Love Is" has some cool guitar...Alannah ROCKS with the best...LOVE her!!!!


This album is awesome! It's a lot better than I thought it would be. Alannah is like this really cool rocker chick!!!

My Goodness!!!

Why the heck did this woman NOT become HUGE? I loved "Black Velvet" and still do. In fact that's how I found this album. But after sampling the songs on it, I can't figure out why this woman didn't become a Superstar. Smoky, sultry, raspy, throaty. Pure SEXY. Joan Jett, Melissa Etheridge, and the singer from Haelstorm. man what women!!! Alannah Myles is no one hit wonder
