It's All the Original Recordings

I had to listen to a half dozen re-dos and do overs of Still the One and wounding up picking this version and listening to it 3-4 times to make sure it was the real deal. It's the only original studio recording of the song on iTunes that I could find. Dance With Me is cool, too. I forgot they had a hit out of that one. Highly recommended for the album or selected cuts.

Missing 'love takes time" ...weak

Supposed To Have 20 Tracks. Where's "Love Takes Time"?

The original recording of "Love Takes Time" is on this album (cut #19 to be exact) but because WMG doesn't own the rights to the actual recording (originally released on Infinity/MCA) it cannot be purchased here at iTunes, not even in album only format. What's worse is that UMG won't even reissue the original 1979 "Forever" album because the parent company thinks it's a complete waste of time. Most if not all the WMG hits are here, though, so it's still a quality "Best Of" collection. iTunes needs to strike up a deal with UMG and get the "Forever" album so we can buy the genuine version of "Love Takes Time" and then we can all die very happy people. Either that or offer the two songs from "Forever" in album only format. Hey, that's better than nothing!!

Hoppen's brother Lance joined before the group signed with ABC Records in 1973; working with producers Barry Beckett and Roger Hawkins at Muscle Shoals Studios, they released their self-titled debut later that year. In 1974 Orleans recorded a self-produced album in New York's Bearsville Studio, but ABC didn't like it and dropped the group from the label,...
