Album Review

Priceless trails the all-Spanish Un Nuevo Día — one of Frankie J's most accomplished albums — by only six months. Though he continues to work the smooth ballads and light midtempo material with a remarkable degree of finesse, the album contains another handful of attempts at sculpting a tougher image. While the strategy might result in the occasional hit single, it's never a good look for him. Again, he doesn't step too far outside his comfort level on the tracks that feature MCs like Chamillionaire and Layzie and Krayzie Bone; "Hurry Up," a theatrical tale of a fast-and-furious sexual encounter that stops with Frankie's fate left in the hands of a jealous ex-con, sticks out most. For the most part, the singer goes with his strengths and delivers another decent album that should at least sustain his loyal following.

This CD is amazing! Another classic! The Rundown: That Girl: first single, nice song, not typical Frankie J but still great! 5/5 Priceless: Wonderful song with great meaning, any woman that would leave him is crazy. 5/5 Never let you down: my absolute favorite song! should have been the next single 5/5 Daddy's Little Girl: Didn't like it at first but after really listening to lyrics it made me cry because I lost my mom recently and i know what that little girl was feeling in the song. Second single. if you don't cry or feel emotion from this song you have no heart. 5/5 If He Can't Be: Love this song, different from any other Frankie J song and he delivers especially lyrically 5/5 Say Something:Like this song, Something same ol', same ol' about it though 4/5 Hurry Up: When I first listened to this song i laughed because I pictured what the video would be like. I love this song though. "Not a man in life he fears" I hear you! 5/5 Is this what you call love?: This is the Frankie J I know! Takes me back to Don't Wanna Try. If you like that song you'll love this one. So emotional 5/5 Top of the line: Don't particularly care for this song much but it's growing on me. He could have did this song alone. 4/5 Dance: I actually really like this song! I never really like Frankie's "get on the dance floor songs" but after a few listens I was jammin to this! 5/5 Still: Absolutely LOVE the song!! It's constantly on repeat in my CD player! This song proves this man can sing his @** off!! He pours every raw emotion in this song as usual and you can tell. 5/5 I ain't trippin: Not the best song but i still like it. 4/5 Break: MAN just listen to this song. once again this man can really song and its from deep inside of him. 5/5 GO GET THIS ALBUM!

Going To A Concert...$45. Buying a CD.....$15. Listening To Frankie J's New Album....Priceless.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!! Frankie J has just broken the speaker's off my computer! Once again, Frankie J comes back with his new album Priceless! With a new look, "new" voice, and new songs, Frankie J has outdone himself. That Girl ran through radio stations across the West Coast while Daddy's Little Girl found it's way into many fathers's hearts. Highly, highly recommended songs if you can't buy the whole album include That Girl, Priceless, Daddy's Little Girl, If He Can't Be, Hurry Up, and Still. If you do have enough, then this album will end up being Priceless not only to your wallet, but to your heart as well.-J.P.S.

Frankie J bRings another gOod album!

It's No surprise to me that Frankie J delivers us another great album, this guy has always been good and i dont think hes going anywhere anytime soon. Of course That Girl starts off the album , great song as for 1st single. The rest of the album is nothing diffrent from his usual sound, which is good in my opinon cause i wouldnt have it any other way. All the songs are good, I haven't skipped one yet. My faves would have to be That Girl, Priceless, Never Let You Down, Hurry Up, Is This What You Call Love?, and Top of The Line. GO FRANKIE!

Years Active: '00s

Tijuana-born and San Diego-raised contemporary R&B artist Frankie J was raised on a steady diet of Latin music and American artists like Michael Jackson and Run-D.M.C. At the age of 15, he was involved with the Latin freestyle scene and released a series of singles on a Canadian dance label. A 1997 signing with Jellybean Benitez's Hola label never panned out, but he landed on his feet when he became a member of los Kumbia Kings. After a few years with the group, J went solo with 2003's What's a Man...
