Not bad, but it is not the same Why Store!. Just wanted people to know. Thanks.

Chris Shaffer and Why Store GREAT

I never know how this band never made it. Shaffer on his own had a few great songs. Why Store needs to be back. This is just a sample of what they can do. Band needs to focus. The unique sound of Shaffer and the jam band type playing could be great.


This is a cool record. Just to clarify this was originally released as a Chris Shaffer record. After some legal issues it has been re-released as a Why Store CD.

Alternative groove-popsters Why Store trace their origins to Muncie, Indiana's Ball State University, where vocalist/guitarists Chris Shaffer and Michael David Smith met up with Greg Gardner (then a drummer, later the bass player). After playing a few gigs as Emerald City, the trio recruited drummer Charlie Bushor and began playing around the area.
