Customer Reviews

A rare record out of Nashville that's worth listening to. I'll risk a silly comparison just for context: reminds me of older Golden Smog/Wilco tracks with a Neil Young influence. You'll hear a lot of praise about vocals, arrangments, etc. (which is deserved), but Jeremy Fetzer is a great guitar player - some gut-twisting Eddy Shaver licks, but nothing to overpower the gracious use of the pedal steel.
Thoughtful and contemplative without being limp-wristed, anemic music played in a coffee shop. Best album yet in 2011.

It's a Great Groove

I really like this band's groove. They have a great sound offset by the fragile yet confident vocals. Sort of reminds me of the Neil Young/Crazy Horse era. It's a winner. Strange Love is more consistent than their debut mini EP and shows an encouraging progression of even better art for us to enjoy in the future. As they mature as a band I hope they don't go commercial.
