these guys are real good .worth checking out. nice sound

Radioland - The Cate Brothers

The Cate Brothers are one of those bands that really should have been a lot bigger and more well known than they are. They are one of the most under rated and under appreciated bands of all time. These Arkansas brothers have been around a long time and can really make you appreciate what true professional musicians sound like. I-tunes may classify them as blues artists but they defy the easy labels. Their arrangements have a sophisticated texture and layering not commonly found in the Blues genre. Their "pop/rock/country/blues/fusion" for lack of a better description is more comparable to bands like Sonia Dada or some of Los Lobos better stuff. They have always had some great songs on every album but Radioland is in a class by itself. Every single song is very good and ten of them are great. I defy anyone to sit still while listening to "Sometimes It Jumps". No filler or throw away tunes on this one.

Radio Land

This is a great album in the tradition of the Cate Brothers. It reminds me of their white album, the one with the original version of Yield Not To Temptation. One of my all time favorite albums. If iTunes could get a hold of that one I think it would be a big seller. I've searched high and low for it without any luck. iTunes help me out!
