The Best. The Beginning.

The early and heady days of this transformative band, ideal for fans of pop hooks, real musicianship, and horn-based ‘70s rock. This is the zenith. As a historical document, it would have been better to cap Volume 1 with 1977’s Chicago XI, the last album with original guitarist Terry Kath and original producer James William-Guercio. The last album in this set, Hot Streets, sounds totally different and pales compared to the standout earlier work.
