I LOVE FEFE!! Prob one on of the most underrated artists ever. I'm so happy they released her CD is the US. YAY Love u Fefe keep rocking

The Label Won.

This honestly confounds me, though I LOVE Fefe and always will, this album is a complete disapointment. after being dropped by Island for not being "Pop" enough back in '06 and years of independently touring and working on this album, they decide to take her back. It really confuses me as to why she accepted after what they did. Obviously this wasn't as much of a "We're sorry, lets make it up to you" gesture as more as it was "Okay, we'll take you back as long as you do what we say". My guess is, with the numorus delays this album has had throughout the months, the label took that time to edit and arrange the original tracks to their liking. Besides the few stand out tracks like the long awaited I'm a Lady and the singles Watch Me Move & I Want You, Joy is filled with poppy tunes that are just on the edge of what they might have been if she'd stayed on her own. Don't Get me wrong, this album is enjoyable enough to listen to, its accually nice to hear a whole new album by Fefe after years of snippets, clips and demos. It's just that I feel like it could have been more. It's Unfortunate that I have to admit I'm glad they dropped her all those years ago, because This is what Sunday Love would have sounded like if they didn't.

Label = 1, Fefe = sellout.

I have loved Fefe Dobson since 2003, and I am devastated that the label ruined this record. Listen to these over-produced vocals then go listen to her debut, or 2005's unreleased 'Sunday Love'..... TOTALLY DIFFERENT singer. I really had high hopes for this album and like all her other loyal fans, have been waiting for 3 years for it. JoY= massive letdown.

Born: February 28, 1985 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Fefe Dobson was a young Toronto-based songstress who brokered demo recordings and a series of solid industry showcases into a deal with Island/Def Jam, which issued her eponymous debut in October 2003. The album showcased Dobson's brassy vocals over a pop-alternative, radio-ready groove skating between styles and incorporating plenty of electric guitar dynamics. For her part, the 18-year-old cited vocal and songwriting influences ranging from Judy Garland to Kurt Cobain. As lead single "Take Me Away"...
