A genious of the classical guitar

A combination of talent and timing has made Segovia great. He was around when recording started to become popular and saw an opportunity to leave behind a collection of beautiful pieces. Now, like Glen Gould's Bach works, many of Segovia's recordings are the standard to which much of classical guitar is measured. This is a collection of some of his greatest tracks, espicially Isaac Albéniz's "Suite Española;" fast, powerful, and perfect. Segovia's original piece "Estudio sin luz" is another notable treat on this album.

Wonderful Recording

If your interested in listening to a Master of the Classical guitar, Segovia is the place to start. This is a fine recording of his work. If you choose to purchase this recording (which I have), you won't be disappointed!

For the money you won't find a better collection of solo classical guitar performances. This was perfect for me who needed to get digital with my classical collection, but I would also highly recommend to people who don't know much about classical guitar yet.
