this album is incredible

i heard of these guys randomly on cd baby and listened to a 2 minute clip of the first two songs and decided to buy it, which was a very good decisioin. they create ambient build ups like animal collective and sheer beauty beyond words like sufjan stevens, i highly recomend this.

Subtle and strong

I can listen to Boute on repeat for hours. ITs one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time and its about ladies' Boutes. There is so much going on in this album while being super listenable because of great melodies.

another talent from Portland, OR

I love this guy, Luke Wyland. He's from Portland, Oregon and he's another member of the "freak folk" or "psych folk" school of alternative/indie music. His stuff sounds like a cross between Animal Collective and White Rainbow... but he attempts to create his own brand with the sparse, stringy guitar in the beginning of "Death" and the ethereal feel of "Boute." Thoroughly enjoyable listen, worth a try if you're a fan of Animal Collective/Panda Bear/ Stephen Merritt. Enjoy.
