Customer Reviews

I saw these guys at the FYF and I was knocked on my bouncer once by the kids throwing their elbows and toes all over the front of the stage and then by the TJ Panthers sound. A surfy reverb guitar blast, solid and straight tub thumping beat, and a bass player going on spazzy runs to fill it all in. Not to mention, three distinct singers complimenting each others range from deep speak singing, buzzcocks squealing and 80's pop crooning. Max Baker not only has catchy songs that come together to make an excellent album, it has a refreshing take on surf, garage, punk and indie music that makes your grandmother holler "Take your Tijuana Panthers and your skateboard and get out of my kitchen!"

AMAZING LIVE sound lost in production on album :(

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! Hadn't heard of them, saw them live (BRILLIANT) and immediately went out for their album and EP. Was a bit disappointed in how much of their "sound" seems to be lost in production. That's just my opinion, but it sounds way too clean. The drumming and bass aren't nearly as pronounced and dynamic. Still a great album, buy it, then see them live.

Great Record!

This is a must listen album. Check these guys out!
