Bramble

Is the most amazing song they've written. Incredible.

I can't believe

more people aren't downloading BEACH HOUSE!! That is the song that made me fall in love with The Cave Singers---I discovered them about 3 months ago and listen to that song over and over. The lead singer truly has a unique voice and they have a ultra calm vibe about them. It's chill and AWESOME!

Best album of '09 FINALLY!!!

As a fan of The Cave Singers first LP, I was hopeful yet sceptical of their sophomore release. Well, all scepticism has flown out the window, this album is nothing short of amazing. One could clump this band in the same catergory as the Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, or Iron and Wine, but there is something a bit more raw & honest about The Cave Singers. Upon my first listen I kept waiting for that track where you say "eh" & skip on, didn't happen, this LP is solid beginning to end. I hear elements of the current indie scene, but there is something old sounding about this, like it was released 3 decades ago & we all just stumbled upon it. As of now my favorite tracks are Summer Light, Shrine (which sounds a lot like old Jefferson Airplane) & Beach House is just simply gorgeous. I plan on beating this into the ground all through the long Chicago winter, my hats off to The Cave Singers for again blowing my mind!!!

The former bassist and founding member of the successful indie rock group Pretty Girls Make Graves picked up an acoustic guitar and formed the Cave Singers following PGMG's demise in January 2007, teaming up with vocalist Pete Quirk (formerly of Hint Hint) and drummer Marty Lund (formerly of Cobra High). Though not...
