Summer of Love

This is the freakin' song Mark should have put on AND opened the Shangri-La album with. Why he wouldnt have placed this song on that album is beyond me. He is utilizing his old Dire Straits rockier edge which was lacking overall on Shangri-La (though the album is still beautiful in its melancholy mellow tone). This song would have at least injected some more energy into the sleepiness of the album. Either way, get this song! This is the Mark alot of people have been waiting for since "Why Aye Man."

Dig deep for more Knopfler goodness

I've always loved Knopler's rich guitar and centered vibe....took a glowing feature in Rolling Stone mag (8/7/08) to make me go back and look for buried treasure like this track, and the track Gravy Train which they rave about, not in iTunes but worth finding...check out Cannibals on Golden Heart too. This guy is the goods.

Intriguing and a Somewhat Haunting Melody

This is another wonderfully intriguing song by Mark Knopfler. As usual Knopfler is the total package..he writes, sings, and plays.
