I am biased

Circus Lupus remains one of the most underrated bands from DC. Super Genius might be one of the most exciting records from the Dischord catalog. It never relents and still sounds fresh 15 years later. Anyone interested indie music from DC should own this.

Super Genius is right

I have to agree that Circus Lupus are the most underated DC band. I haven't heard this CD in 10 years and it actually is better than I remembered. It is frenetic and unyielding. It feels like the wheels are going to come off any second and then they bring it back almost like a good jazz band. So far ahead of its time. Completely worth it. BTW you should probably buy it from Dischord.

Great overview

Circus Lupus were probably my second favorite DC area band, after Nation of Ulysses. But Monorchid were even better. These guys were like Scratch Acid/Jesus Lizard except nobody remembers them. Great band, great overview album of their work.
