Excellent adaptation

For some odd reason (most likely lack of space on the double album ... wait, what?), the Helicopter Sequence was not included when the score was first released in 1978, and wasn't available for a decade. Amazingly, until the first comprehensive original score was remastered by Rhino in the '90s in preparation of the film's 20th anniversary, this earnest adaptation by John Debney & the Royal Scottish Nat'l Orchestra was the ONLY recording available for a decade thereafter. That alone qualifies this album as a rare find, but more importantly, the adaptation is a painstakingly -- if not entirely successful -- recreation of Williams' iconic score. Cheers to the Debman & his "band."
