New Jersey's best since Symphony X

This band is amazing. With basic instruments from Guitar to drums to orchestra such as wind and strings, this band defined a new meaning of progressive rock. If you are the kind of person who loves metal, D&D and who lives for music, then this band is for you. Vocalist, Clay Barton, has a voice of a true progressive rock artist and tells a story with his lyrics. Gregg Rossetti, Guitars, midi, wind, viola and chapman stick, plays like a god along with Rich Skibinsky, guitars, keys and midi. Kirk Schwenkler, bass and flute, played his first and his last in the band suspyre. Now Noah Martin, from the band teh blood promise and Andrew Distabile are the bassist in the band. Last is our Drummer and Percussion, Sam Paulicelli, a drummer who has a heart to play the drums. His speed and feelings into his drumming give the music his taste of metal. There were also guest musicians in the band durring this album. Female vocalist Danielle Kaplowe sang in the tracks Serpent I Am and The Breathe of Gloria. Piano and organ was played by Art Mezzo. This band took a long journey to find their heart to music and to play for the fans. This band is worth listening to. Those who listen to Suspyre, will never forget the music.

Prog Rock's best kept secret

Over the past year, Suspyre has become one of my favorite bands. They must be progressive rock’s best kept secret but it’s hard to understand why. This band is in the same league with Dream Theater, Angra, Kamelot and many other established power metal bands – and may actually surpass them on a few levels. Lead singer Clay Barton is a vocal virtuoso with one of the most unique voices of the genre. Barton is able to reach wide variety of emotional intensities without ever resorting to the strained falsettos so common to the genre. Guitarist Gregg Rossetti is not only an accomplished guitarist but has also figured out how to work a sax, viola and Chapman stick (who plays a Chapman stick??) into a few tracks and makes it work seamlessly while still keeping the music metal. If you’re a fan of rousing, hard but melodic power rock you owe it to yourself to check out Suspyre.
