Different than previous albums

When an artist tries to develop something different and new, fans don’t always like that. Accordingly, Jesse’s fifth album was met with some harsh criticism. After all, music is a matter of taste. While I admit that Nomad is not my favorite of his albums, I still think that it is another masterpiece of a brilliant musician, who was not afraid to take some risks and experiment.
While his previous albums had at most one track with lyrics, Nomad has four, and the music is much more influenced by other cultures, making it more of a world-music album.
In my opinion, just as in his previous works, Jesse managed to create a beautiful compilation of different moods that make Nomad a great listening experience.

Canadian rumba flamenco artist Jesse Cook has blended the exotic Spanish music form with elements of new age, jazz, and easy listening on his releases for Narada Records. Signed to the label in 1994, he produced his debut, Tempest, one year later. Gravity, released in 1996, hit the Top Ten on the new age charts.
