Van Campbell is a powerhouse drummer, and Freddy J IV is a riff machine whose booming vocals occupy the gritty space between howl and growl. Two cover versions are telling—a grungy makeover of Them's “I Can Only Give You Everything” and a gnarly take on Dr. Feelgood’s “Keep It Out of Sight.” The originals nod more to stoner rock, especially in the subject matter of the grinding “Smoked All My Bud.”
