Sweatshirt - Single

Virginia native Jacob Sartorius (born Rolf Jacob Sartorius) is a pop singer who found fame via social media in 2015, when he began to regularly post videos of himself lip-syncing popular songs. Accumulating millions of followers across sites like Instagram, musical.ly, Vine, and YouTube, all before he turned 13, he recorded and released his first single, "Sweatshirt," as an official teenager in the spring of 2016. The song, in which he offers a girl his sweatshirt, landed on the Billboard streaming charts. Sartorius soon performed his first live shows, and that summer he released his second single, "Hit or Miss." Along with a remix of "Sweatshirt," the song was included on his debut EP, The Last Text EP, which arrived in early 2017 via T3 Music Group. A pair of singles, "Hit Me Back" and "Skateboard," appeared later that summer. ~ Marcy Donelson
