Senior in high school. This album has basically been my soundtrack throughout high school. Spyro Gyra is the best Jazz group ever! 5 stars

Give it a try. It Grew on me!

At first when I got this album, I really didn't like it that much. But when I listened to it again I started to like it. Songs Like "Freefall", "Body Wave" and "Whirlwind" are my key favorites alongside the title track. Definitely not their best record but it's also not their worst.

Before the Sellout

The eighties and to some extent the very early nineties were Spyrogyra's peak. This album while uneven in some spots is a solid performance with some of the edgy SG tunes that would never make it into the garbage "smooth jazz" medium today. The first half of the album has some very good songs like "Bob Goes To The Store" and "Doubletake." In all, head and shoulders above anything produced by SG since about 1989 and certainly anything the band is putting out recently. Do yourself a favor and listen to the real Spyrogyra.
